Cubs Sign Cuban Outfielder Soler To 9-Year, $30M Deal

" CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Cubs have signed Cuban outfielder Jorge Soler to a nine-year, $30 million deal.

The Cubs announced the deal before Saturday’s game against the Houston Astros.

The 20-year-old Soler was sought after by several teams and is considered a five-tool player who will require some minor league seasoning. He will report to the team’s spring training and minor league facility in Mesa., Ariz. "
