Rogers: Scott Boras Playing Hard Ball With Cubs
" (WSCR) We’ve seen the Scott Boras hard-ball act before.

During a conference call Tuesday, Cubs first-round pick, high schooler Albert Almora, who is represented by Boras, said his focus right now is attending the University of Miami on a full-ride scholarship to play baseball.

“My main priority now is college,” Almora said. “I just graduated high school and I have a full scholarship to the University of Miami, and that’s all I’m looking forward to right now.”

One baseball expert, however, thinks Almora’s comments were simply a negotiation tactic employed by Boras.

“I would not get too concerned about the posturing here,” Phil Rogers of the Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show. “Guys drafted as highly as sixth overall get signed "
