Sveum On Cubs Winning World Series: ‘Biggest Event In Sports History’

Before the start of the Cubs-Astros game Wednesday afternoon, Cubs manager Dale Sveum let his mind wander to what it would be like if the North Siders actually won the World Series.

“It’ll be the biggest event in sports history when we win, there is no question about that,” Sveum said. “I was fortunate to be in Boston (as a coach in 2004), and after 86 years, that is as big a championship won in a long, long time "
