" Who will be Chicago's next fashion star?

" We'll find out September 28 as emerging designers battle for a coveted spot on the runway at the Gold Coast Fashion Awards  at the Hilton Chicago.

Audience members view the designers’ looks and cast a ballot for their favorite. The winner gets the opportunity to show their collection next year at the annual event.

Last year’s winning designer, Fabiola Arias, will open the show with her fall collection andwill present the award to this year's winner.

It all kicks off at 11 a.m. with a cocktail reception at the Hilton, followed by a 12 p.m "
