" “I’m going to leave it to the politics, I don’t really care about that,” he said.
Preckwinkle at a separate event tried to clarify her statements last week, but it still left observers wondering, does she want to be mayor?
“I have a script,” Preckwinkle noted as she was asked if she had more to say today. Clearly Preckwinkle did not want to speak off the cuff.
Preckwinkle noted last week she was speaking out of frustration when she initially said the mayor and Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy had an “arrest everybody” crime strategy.
